The NEBOSH International General Certificate is the most widely recognized health and safety qualification of its kind. The course gives learners everything they need know and do to make their workplace safer. Upon completion successful learners will be able to confidently carry out risk assessments, manage and minimize workplace risks, and support a business-wide health and safety culture.
Course overview and assessment
There are no mandatory qualification entry requirements. The course consists of two units, each separately assessed.
1 – Management of Health and Safety
2 – Risk Assessment
The total assessment time is 7 hours.
NG1 is assessed via an open book exam which is administered online and must be completed during a set 24-hour window.
NG2 is assessed via a practical assessment carried out following completion of all the units and usually carried out within the delegates’ workplace.
